Junior Arts Centre Library Update (May 2024)

Whilst our new library is being built, children will continue to borrow library books from the unit libraries which are open daily. Parents may request additional books to borrow by emailing  [email protected] and we will pass these to the children. If there are too many books to carry, parents may collect these from the Junior Office. Alternatively, parents may borrow books from the Infant and Senior libraries which have titles suitable for Junior School in their collection. If you require any assistance with borrowing, please email Head of Junior Library, Janine Murphy, [email protected].

Winners of The Red Dot Readers Cups

The Readers Cup Festival, hosted by the Singapore American School this year, brought the Red Dot Readers Cup 2024 to a close. Children in the top six teams from Tanglin Trust School were invited to meet children from other International Schools to participate in book-themed activities.  These experiences enriched their understanding of literature and fostered a sense of teamwork. Jesse Q Sutanto, author of Theo Tan and the Fox Spirit, virtually joined the event to share insights on writing and publishing children’s books. The festival concluded with awards presented by Katie Day from ISLN Singapore. Our teams triumphed, winning two out of the three cups for first place: Younger Category (aged 7-10) by Fab Fiction Readers and Older Category (aged 10-13) by Dino Bros. This was a moment of immense pride for our teams and all the finalists.
